Experience and taste the special knowledge that medieval monks cultivated in the monastery gardens. In the cellar of Korsbrødregården, there will be a fusion of the spiritual life of monkhood, contemplation and knowledge into a menu adapted to the story of food, medicine and herbs. During the tasting, the guests are presented with a lecture and dishes that together make up the experience of monk life. Part of the lunch will be with herbs of your own choice and therefore a completely unique experience for the individual guest.

Add on
It is possible to add the following: Historical costumes, a living exhibition:
Experience Nyborg Slots Dragtlaug’s replicas of original historical costumes from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. All suits are sewn by hand according to the craftsmanship of the Middle Ages. The organization is working on upcoming costumes for the annual medieval festival in Nyborg -  Danehof. In addition, it will be possible to see exhibited suits from some of the former festivals. It is possible to ask questions to the seamstress along the way.

Fun fact
The Monks' Cellar is located in a red brick building on the corner of Adelgade and Korsbrødregade and is one of the oldest preserved houses in Nyborg. The corner house with its impressive vaulted ceilings is presumed to date back to the 14th century.
