Churches

Queen Margrethe I. had Vor Frue Church built as a monument to the Kalmar-union. The church was inaugurated in 1428 and has been expanded and restored several times.

The church is with tile roof with a belfry to the west and porch.

A whitewashed church with a tower, nave, chancel with a flat altar wall, and porch.

Inside the roman vault have been preserved, but insted of the original raftered ceiling the church now have vaults. Please contact the church for further information.

Perched on a small hill, elevated above the street and graveyard, lies Herrested Church. It was originally built in the latter half of the 12th century, but is characterized by a restoration that was completed in 1880.
