PostNord Danmark Rundt: Time Trial Race 2016 (19,5 km)

PostNord Denmark Rundt: Time Trial Race in Nyborg is a 19.5 km long cycling route featuring cobbled climbs and deep valleys.

In 2016, Nyborg hosted the individual time trial stage of the cycling race 'PostNord Denmark Rundt'. The riders started on the sharp cobbles in the heart of the historic medieval city before heading southwest. Had the cyclists been able to stop, they would likely have visited the Refsvindinge Brewery, but they had to content themselves with viewing both the brewery and the idyllic landscapes from their saddles. Conversely, you can stop in Vindinge, at the Refsvindinge Brewery, and several spots in the idyllic river valley around Lille Mølle. From Kogsbølle, you ride along the Stevnshøjvej, offering a fantastic view of the Nyborg Fjord with the Great Belt Bridge in the background. Incidentally, this is the same bridge that the Tour de France riders crossed in 2021 on their way to the finishing line in Nyborg. From the hilltop, the ride continues towards Nyborg, passing the beautiful Holckenhavn Castle.
