Cykelrute i Nyborg: Mød historien

Experience the breath of history on two wheels in Nyborg. Whether you are looking for cheerfully spinning watermills, castles with grand parks, or ancient monuments from a bygone era, you will find it all here.

Nyborg was Denmark’s first capital. Nyborg Castle is the royal palace where Denmark’s first "constitution" – the Charter of 1282 – was signed. It was from Nyborg and its castle that kings and queens ruled not only Denmark, but the entire Kalmar Union.

Now you can explore this historic seat of power and infrastructural hub by bike. We offer a wealth of cycling routes, ranging from short trips to longer journeys. You can, of course, adapt them to your interests and needs. Feel free to ask us at VisitNyborg for advice on how to best combine your route in terms of content and distance.

We have gathered various routes that together take you to:

  • Castles and Manors with their magnificent parks in East Funen.

  • Historic sites, monuments, and ancient landmarks in East Funen.

  • Scenic viewpoints and pure idyll in East Funen.

Open the map – choose the route and the experiences you desire. You can also watch the film showing a small selection of the many historic experiences awaiting you on two wheels in Nyborg and East Funen.
