Guided tour at Dyrehave Mill - coffee edition
Coffee at Dyrehave Mill
Dyrehave Mill is a unique cultural-historical beacon with exciting stories about catastrophic burn downs and stolen pears. While the guests drink coffee and enjoy a piece of one of the mill's specialties: old-fashioned apple cake, they hear about the mill's cultural-historical significance. The visit ends with a tour of Dyrehave Mill, where the grand finale takes place on the round outdoor platform, where you can see the whole town from above. Afterwards, it is possible to buy local specialties in the mill shop.
It is possible to dive even deeper into the history and test your skills at grinding flour - the old-fashioned way. Of course, this activitiy is especially ideal for children as they can try their hand at a grinder and roller and grind their own flour in the old mill chamber.
With its 25 meters and 7 floors with mill lofts, Dyrehave mill is one of Denmark’s highest windmills. It was built in 1858 and consists of around 1 million bricks.
